Teen Entrepreneurship Challenge to begin July 19

  High school students can learn how to develop a business or product idea while earning a chance at a $1,000 top prize this summer through the Teen Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by the Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq. Open to rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, the Teen Entrepreneurship Challenge will run from July 19 to Aug. 9 with a pitch competition on Wednesday, Aug. 16. HAZLETON, Pa. - The Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq. continued its support of businesses in Downtown Hazleton with another "Walk the Block" event on Thursday, April 20. Penn State Hazleton Chancellor Elizabeth J. Wright, Director of Continuing Education and Hazleton LaunchBox Director Debra Conway, and Hazleton LaunchBox Entrepreneurship Facilitator Fermin Diaz visited AmeriHealth Caritas, Anthracite Region Center for Independent Living (ARCIL), Arrow Workforce Solutions and Supreme Staffing Co. to connect with employees and learn about the businesses' needs.

Hazleton LaunchBox hosting events for Penn State Startup Week

The Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq., Penn State Hazleton’s business accelerator and co-working space, will host a variety of virtual events geared towards innovation and entrepreneurship from March 20-24 during Penn State Startup Week powered by PNC. Events will be offered for participants to learn from and connect with startup founders and individuals achieving success in various professional backgrounds, including business, state government, social media and communications. Hazleton LaunchBox aims to strengthen community ties with ‘Walk the Block’ event

HAZLETON, Pa. - With the aim of connecting with local business owners and further strengthening its relationships within the community, employees of the Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq. and Penn State Hazleton recently visited businesses in downtown Hazleton during its "Walk the Block" event. Held in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month, the walk featured businesses near the LaunchBox, including many that were Latino-owned or had received no-cost resources or services from the LaunchBox.
